METIZ production standards
How METIZ produces: its own design office, patented solutions, a quality management system under international standards, and aviation and space materials.

Short answer: METIZ designs its components in its own design office, protects many solutions with patents, keeps a quality management system under international standards, and uses aviation and space technology materials: carbon fiber, titanium, aluminum alloys and stainless steels.
Strategy
The METIZ strategy rests on its own engineering solutions and on keeping a quality that, according to the company, is not inferior to that of the leading world manufacturers. The declared focus is meeting the needs and requirements of those who use and those who prescribe the components.
Design office and patents
METIZ has its own design office, where experienced engineers research and develop new products, materials and technologies. That is why, the company says, its products stand out for original technical solutions, many of them protected by patents.
Quality management system
The company introduced a quality management system that conforms to international standards and follows the product through every stage of its life cycle: design, production, testing, delivery and use. The declared certifications are on the certifications page.
Materials
| Material | Why METIZ uses it |
|---|---|
| Carbon fiber | high strength with low density; the material of the energy-return feet |
| Titanium | strength and lightness in structural parts |
| Aluminum alloys | body of the knees and adapters |
| Stainless steels | corrosion resistance, as in the tube adapter for water prostheses |
According to METIZ, these are materials well proven in aviation and space technology, with the set of properties a prosthetic component requires: high strength, corrosion resistance and low density. The quality of each batch is certified by the material manufacturer's certificate of conformity and checked by incoming quality control.
Plant and testing
Production has its own manufacturing and testing equipment. METIZ reports 6,000 m² of production area, more than 200 people and more than 100,000 components a year, exported to more than 20 countries.
Documentation
All products delivered by METIZ come with the permits and certificates required by the legislation of Russia and the European Union, according to the company. For the documentation required in Brazil, including the Anvisa registration of each component, talk to the Metiz Brasil team.
